Professional Therapeutic Services

The Outpatient-Department for Vietnamese Migrants at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy diagnoses and treats patients with a variety of disorders, such as depression, anxiety disorders, stress related disorders, adjustment disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, substance and alcohol use and all other psychiatric conditions.

Following clinical services are provided at the Outpatient-Department for Vietnamese Migrants:

• Psychosocial Consultation Service

• Medication Evaluation, Diagnosis and Clinical Management

• Evidence based modern psychopharmacology

• Treatment by a vietnamese consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist

• Psychotherapies:

• Individual Therapy: Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy, Mindfulness-based approaches

• Group Therapy: Affect and Emotion Focused Therapy, Skills Training

• Native-language psychotherapy for PTSD

• Vietnamese language in-patient treatment

• Psychiatric Liaison Consulting Services for patients from outside Berlin and from other European countries

Due to a high demand for treatment and to offer community based services, we cooperate with the outpatient service for Vietnamese Migrants established in 2013 at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics at Evangelic Hospital Königin Elisabeth Herzberge. This psychiatric and psychotherapeutic service primarily targets vietnamese patients who live in the eastern districts of Berlin, especially Lichtenberg and Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
